The smartest people. The biggest ideas.
Back in 2000, in partnership with TED, Moses Znaimer launched the first ideacity conference. Having spoken at TED already, and as the creator of such innovative and iconic TV channels as Citytv and MuchMusic, Moses understood the appetite for the content ideacity could deliver.
He also understood how to improve on the TED concept, particularly when it came to treating all attendees as equals (no extra privileges for higher prices) and have speakers interact freely with the audience. The result: the unique ideacity experience: three days, fifty speakers, two legendary parties and a ton of inspiration.
Moses presents a dazzling line-up of the brightest minds on the planet. Ground-breaking scientists, visionary entrepreneurs, artists, scholars, activists and agitators – if it’s new, if it’s hot, if it will challenge your thinking, it’s at ideacity.
Now in its 20th year, ideacity continues to assemble some of the smartest people from around the world, presenting to an engaged, affluent, influential audience.
The conference lives on after the event, too. Recorded in high definition, ideacity talks are available year round, racking up nearly 10 million minutes of viewing on YouTube alone. ideacity talks are also broadcast on ZoomerMedia’s TV channels.
Over the years ideacity has welcomed such distinguished presenters as Deepak Chopra, Margaret Atwood, Romeo Dallaire, and Robert Kennedy Jr. But we’ve also hosted lesser known thinkers who became superstars – like 15-year-old Jack Andraka, who discovered a test for pancreatic cancer.
ideacity talks are accessible online, too – more than 250 of them. Last year, they generated more than 10 million minutes of viewing. Watch them here.
