Vice President of CARP Community

 

 

 

Responsible for developing and enhancing CARP’s network of Chapters across Canada, Vice President, Community Development, Ross Mayot has increased the number of chapters from 14 to 41 since he joined in 2008.

Prior to joining CARP, Ross was involved in educational media for more than 25 years, working in both public and private sector organizations, including TVOntario, CHUM Television and Access Media Group. He held senior management portfolios that included Government Relations, Marketing and Development, Corporate Strategy, and Business Affairs.

As Vice President, Learning Services for Access Media Group, he was one of the key strategists and senior managers, helping to launch Canadian Learning Television, ACCESS – The Education Station, Book Television and Court TV Canada. In addition to his duties with the television stations, Ross launched Distribution Access, one of the leading private distributors of educational video and multimedia in Canada. For the past 11 years Ross has also worked with Moses Znaimer to produce ideaCity Conference, Canada’s pre-eminent annual gathering of artists, adventurers, cosmologists, architects, designers, entertainers, inventors, philanthropists, scientists, technologists and innovators.
