Who you are
You are a charismatic go-getter with extensive on-camera and videography experience, as well as an ability to produce vertical “green screen” video content for TikTok and Instagram. You have a passion for creating and sharing Vancouver news, culture, food and lifestyle content; an ability to edit video content on TikTok, Instagram, Capcut, Adobe Premiere Pro and/or a familiarity with the Adobe suite is also an asset.
What you'll do
- Produce and create concise, punchy, informative and entertaining vertical video content in a “green screen” format geared for social video platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
- Produce and create other original video content in a non “green screen” format as applicable.
- Flex your creative muscles by generating and pitching content ideas, writing scripts, and operate in an organized and efficient manner.
- Travel on assignment around the city to create content and act as a brand ambassador for ZDN’s brands as applicable.
- Keep up to date with the latest social media trends and advise on how they can be applied to our content.
- Collaborate with other team members and participate in regular meetings via Google Meet.
- Operate in a fast paced environment with quick turnarounds and deadlines.
What you have
- Proven experience creating and producing news, lifestyle and/or culture video content in a “green screen” and/or other video format.
- On-camera experience creating content for TikTok and Instagram.
- Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and succeed in a fast paced environment, as well as work collaboratively with the team to bring ideas to life
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work unconventional hours, evenings and weekends totaling 40-hours per week.
- Familiarity with the Google Suite and basic video equipment
- Familiarity with Capcut and the Adobe suite is also an asset.
